Challenge
Classic goal-tracking apps often suffer from a high abandonment rate because they are perceived as restrictive and austere. We check boxes, but rarely feel immediate satisfaction. For creative teams or students, task management quickly becomes a chore.
The idea : Users (myself included, following a need for post-burnout motivation) are looking for a flexible, friction-free tool that transforms discipline into a game.
The Solution
I developed a user experience based on simplicity and positive reinforcement:
- Fluid Onboarding : Removal of mandatory account creation and implementation of a contextual tutorial ("Quick Start") to engage the user immediately.
- Engagement Loop :
Action : A simple "Tap-to-progress" with immediate visual feedback.
Reward : Automatic detection of completed lines (Bingo) triggering motivational messages.
- Information Architecture : Deliberate choice to limit cognitive load (cards of 9 or 25 goals) to avoid the feeling of being overwhelmed.
UI & Design System
Creation of a "Vibrant & Playful" visual language using energetic gradients and bold typography to maximize readability on small screens. Development of reusable and accessible components (high contrast, optimized touch targets).
Développement de composants réutilisables et accessibles (contraste élevé, zones de touche optimisées).
Results & Next steps
Project designed and prototyped in 3 weeks on Figma.
I initiated code tests in Swift to understand iOS development constraints, which refined my UI design choices (native vs custom components).
Professional Pivot : This project marked my transition from graphic design to Product Design methodology (User flows, Prototyping).
